Gegrillte (gebratene) Wassermelone

Ich liebe liebe liebe Wassermelone!!!
Seit kurzem weiß ich, dass eine Wassermelone quasi eine fette Gurke ist 😀
Also Wassermelonen sind Gemüse..

Was ihr braucht:
– eine Springform mit 26cm Durchmesser
– 200g Butterkekse
– 90g Butter
– 2 EL Zucker
– 250g Erdbeeren
–  eine Hand voll gehackte ungesalzene Pistazienkerne

Erdbeertarte 040

Guten Appetit!

Snack box made out of a paper plate

I saw this easy and cute idea (guess what) on Pinterest (of course :D) and I need to share it with you.

What you need:
– a paper plate
– a pencil
– a ruler
– scissors
– decoration tape

Blog 010

First you need to measure out the approximately middle of the paper plate. Then sketch a rectangle with solid lines on the back.
Blog 011

Now you cut every second line in, till you reach the rectangle. I’m sorry, I forgot to take a picture of the next steps 😦
So I try to explain in detail, no worries, it’s really easy..
Just fold the resulting pieces to the middle and the riding out ones to the left. Give it a try, you get a box automatically.

The last thing you need is the decoration tape to fix the box and then you can fill it with anything you like 🙂
I think it would be very cute at a picnic or generally in spring, so I have chosen strawberries.

Bottle-Cap Magnets and Thumbtacks

You know that. The party is over and your apartment’s a total mess. Waste everywhere, and thousands of bottle-caps on the floor, on the table, nearly all over the place. This was the point, when I just remembered something I’ve seen on Pinterest..

And here is what you need:
– bottle-caps
– craft glue
– magnets or thumbtacks
– pictures you like in small sice (ca. 2,7 cm)

Blog 004

First of all you draw up a dokument with different pictures you like in a small size and print it out.
Then you take a bottle cap to know what size you exactly need and cut the picture out (round of yourse, so it fits in the bottle-cap).
You can use glue or not, I recognized virtually no difference.

Then you were almost finished 🙂 Looks nice, doesn’t it?
Blog 006

To fix it on a refrigerator or a corkboard later on, just take some glue and put a magnet or a thumbtack on the back.
Blog 008

Just let it dry and you have some easy and personalized gift for friends or family 🙂

Zucchini noodles

Hey everyone, how are you doing?
For my part, I am very full at the moment.. Because all this ->
Zucchininudeln 023

… is in my stomach 😉

I really love every high-carb food. Noodles, potatoes, rice.. So I’m always searching for low-carb substitutes like this: zucchini 🙂
Zucchininudeln 002

First of all wash the zucchini, then start to peel it into a big bowl.
Zucchininudeln 003

When you reach the middle stop peeling, because a zucchini is like a cucumber, the inner part is just cores & water.
Zucchininudeln 007

If you like, you can already sprinkle some salt over it and set it aside.
Now you need everything you want to have in your sauce. In my case this were: tomatoes (fresh and dried), a chili, a red paprika and mushrooms.
Zucchininudeln 009

And of course an onion, which you can see here 😉
Zucchininudeln 010

First enter the onion and the chili into the pan, when the onions get glassy put in the rest, except for the tomatoes.
Zucchininudeln 014

Zucchininudeln 015

When it looks like this, add the tomatoes and fry it till the end. And don’t forget to season 😉
Now it’s also the time to care about the zucchini. First season it with much salt and any other spice you like and then pour boiling water over it and let it stay for 2 Minutes.
Then treat it like real noodles, pour off water, let it drain.. etc.

Zucchininudeln 021

I added some sieved tomatos too, because I just like it 🙂
And what came out of it, you’ve seen on top of this post.

Of yourse it’s a little bit different from real noodles, but in my opinion it’s a healthy and low-calorie alternative 🙂

How to keep your bathroom mirror fog-free

Gather around, friends and hold your breath.. I’m about to share an incredible trick with you 😉

On my long trip through the internet, I read about a method to keep the mirror in the bathroom fog-free. Everyone who ever had to share a bathroom knows how annoying it can be to get in the bathroom, drowsy but also in a hurry and you see, that you see nothing. Somebody took a refreshing and extensive shower and leaved the bathroom all fogged up. Even if it was you, it sucks.

So I thought: I’ve nothing to lose – and gave it a go!

Neue Session 002

Because virtually I have three mirrors I thought it would be a good idea to see the difference, when I just prepare one of them.
Neue Session 003

I took a bar of soap and rubbed it onto the mirror in the middle. You can just run the bar of soap across the mirror very lightly, that will be enough.

Neue Session 004

Next I took a cloth and tried to buff away the soap residue off the mirror. This was a bit challenging, I might took too much soap..

The next morning my boyfriend disappeared in the bathroom and after the shower he asked me: “What have you done to the mirror?”
My eyes got big, I grabed my camera and ran into the bath 😀

Badezimmer 003

Look at this!!! 😀
It worked..  I was pretty excited about it.

But anyway, that’s the trick. Try it!
Each time you go to wipe the toothpaste splatters and water spots off of your bathroom mirrors, just rub a little soap on there first!

Who knew that a bar of soap could do that?

Studded Jeans makeover

We all have some old treasures in our closets we possibly even don’t remember having. Some of them are really wasted, but others may just need a little attention and creativity.

Nearly a year ago, I ordered some Studs from ebay but I never got around to use them. So, now it’s time for that 🙂

Step 1: Grab an old Jeans, Shirt, Jacket or Shoes, anything you have (in my case an old Jeans-Short) and of course – studs.
Nietenjeans 002

Step 2: Decide where and how you want to apply the studs, draw up a little plan. On the back of the studs are two spiky hooks to attach it.
Nietenjeans 007

Step 3: Just start! 🙂
It’s quiet easy. You take one stud and press it through the fabric. When you feel and see you’re through, fold the ends and the first stud is fixed 😉
If one stud doesn’t fit to the others, it’s easy to pull it out and try it again, so feel free to express yourself. Your imagination knows no boundaries 🙂

And here is what I created 🙂

Easy decoration idea

If you also like to drink a glass of wine or two, so as I, you certainly have many empty glass bottles. I wondered, what to do with it besides throwing it away.
I am one of these lucky devils with a boyfriend who actually brought me a rose sone weeks ago. So, as a vase I had the bottle already abused 😉

But then I remembered an idea from Pinterest (<3) and immediately I knew exactly what to do.

What you need:
– an empty bottle (in the best case at your home anyway :-p )
– package cord (I get it for one euro at an euro-shop)

Flasche ummanteln 008

As you can see on the picture, I have done nothing more than wraped the cord around the bottle 🙂

Flasche ummanteln 016 Flasche ummanteln 018

To secure the end, I applied some craft glue on the bottle and pressed the cord on it for a few seconds.

When I was ready, I thought: This was so easy, I have left much of the package cord and one bottle looks so lonely… Whats next? 😀
I grabbed a scented candle glass (you get it at ikea or dm right in the glass) which I cleaned after the candle was burned and startet to wrap around again.

Flasche ummanteln 027

As you can see, I was unstoppable 😀

Flasche ummanteln 035

I really like what came out of it and after a while of redecorating my commode, I placed some tealights in the glasses, leaned back and relaxed 😉

The turkish potatoe – Kumpir

Recently I was in cologne and discovered something completely new, at least for me.
There was a place called “Mr. Kumpir” and it was full of people snacking potatoes with everything you can imagine in it.
The base was always a big baked potatoe, cut in half, with butter & cheese. Then you can choose further ingredients, like beans, corn, coleslaw, tomatoes, chilies, jalapenos… even meat!
On top always a sauce like tzatziki or yogurt-sauce.

So, three days later at home, I tryed it on my way.

Step 1: Because I had no potatoes as big as “Mr. Kumpir”, I just took two smaller ones and placed them at full temperature in the oven for at least 40 minutes.
Blog Bilder 013

Step 2: While the potatoes werde baking in the oven, I sliced my ingredients into small pieces. I took some red and green pepper, a red chilie, 3 sun-dried tomatoes and a fresh one.
Blog Bilder 012

Step 3: Like I already said, I’m on a healthy trip right now, so I choosed to make a rape oil mayo by myself. (1 yolk, 1 tsp of mustard, rape oil (until you get the desired consistency) and salt & pepper)
Blog Bilder 016

Step 4: When the potatoe is crispy on the outside and soft inside, take it out of the oven and cut it in half. But not completely, just like you can see on the picture.
Then grab a fork and squash the inside like you see on the second picture. On the third picture I put a little butter inside to melt. On the last picture I added some gouda (yummy :D)
Blog Bilder 018 Blog Bilder 019 Blog Bilder 021 Blog Bilder 022

Step 5: Now you add everything you like and last but not least, the sauce.
Blog Bilder 023 Blog Bilder 026

I’m a huge potatoe fan generally, but this is so delicious! I told nearly everyone I knew about it and all who have tried it were also enthusiastic 🙂
So, give it a try and enjoy 😉

Healthy Snack – Carrot Chips

I’m on a kind of health trip right know and I thought, why don’t share this stuff too?
Because most of healthy food is obviously self made, so perfect for a DIY-Blog.

So, here is my latest discovery: Carrot Chips

Step 1: First of all, you had to peel the carrots into thick slices
Neue Session 007

Step 2: Toss the slices in olive oil, salt & pepper
Neue Session 008 Neue Session 011 Neue Session 012

Step 3: Place them uniformly on a baking sheet & bake at 200° for 12 minutes
